Matt S Trout and Mark Keating will both be giving talks/presentations at the first North West England Perl Mongers technical meeting on the 25th February (location to be confirmed).

Matt will be giving a short introduction to modern Perl and telling us all why we should be using it, a variant on the talk he gave at the Postgres West Conference in 2008. Matt will also be talking about the Perl projects, Catalyst, Reaction, Dbic and Moose offering a beginers guide to each of them.

Mark will be giving a short introduction to the Enlightened Perl Organisation and its aims and will then be a part of a Q&A session with Matt Trout on the EPO. Mark's second presentation will be on the GSOC and the efforts that nwe.pm will be making to participate in this.
