This is the shadowcat news archive for July 2015.

A Fond Farewell

This month is a slightly sad time as we say goodbye to our intern Errietta Kostala. Erry was with us for a year’s placement from Huddersfield University as part of her CS course. Errietta returns for her third, and final, year in October and we know that she will do really well.

During her third year Erry will be keeping in touch with us as her final year project is connected to some of the services she has worked on while at Shadowcat.

I am sure you will join with me in wishing Erry good luck in her final year and in whatever path the future holds for her.

Herete Errietta Kostala.

Organising the LPW

Once again the Shadowcat team, headed by our own Mark Keating, will be organising the London Perl Workshop in 2015. This will be the 9th time that Mark has been the principal organiser on the event.

The London Perl Workshop will be held once again at the University of Westminster’s Cavendish Campus where we will be the guests of the Department of Engineering and Computing. For 2015 the theme will be ‘it’s a Perly Christmas’ and will focus on the impact that Perl 6 has had on the Perl Community and language.

The Shadowcat team are proud to be a part of this event and look forward to welcoming faces old and new in December.
